In the morning sermon, I will be looking at the need to be truthful with each other and before God as a community value; and in the evening sermon, I will teach about our need to trust God completely. It is his plan that saves.
This study guide includes questions from Hebrews 10:19-39 (morning sermon) and Joshua 9 (evening sermon).
In the morning sermon, from Hebrews 10, I will focus on how the writer of Hebrews uses the concept of honor to hold the Christians together in the face of persecution. He discusses encouragement and faith as the keys for this.
In the evening sermon, from Joshua 9, I will look at what the Gibeonite deception taught Israel about obedience, seeking God's wisdom in all things, and the importance of truthfulness.
This study guide includes questions from Mark 12:13-17 (morning lesson) and Joshua 8 (evening lesson).
This Sunday's sermon will be from Joshua 7, focusing on the dangers of disobedience and incurring the wrath of God. Obedience is not optional. The study questions are from Joshua 7 and Romans.
